College Athlete Advantage ("we", "us", "our") helps high school athletes and their families navigate the college recruiting process. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account details: name, email, password (hashed), and role.
  • Athlete profile: sport, graduation year, high school, position, height/weight, GPA, test scores, highlight video links, bio, and city/state.
  • Communications: messages you send us through forms, email, or chat.
  • Payment metadata: when you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (e.g. Stripe) stores card data; we only receive limited tokens and billing summaries.

We also automatically collect basic usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring URLs — through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve our recruiting services.
  • Match athletes with advisors and (with your permission) share recruiting profiles with college coaches.
  • Send transactional emails about your account and service updates.
  • Send marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Minors

Our service is intended for high school athletes, many of whom are under 18. Athletes under 13 may not create an account. For athletes aged 13–17, we ask that a parent or guardian register or co-sign on the account. Parents may review, edit, or delete their child's information by contacting us at the address below.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:

  • College coaches and athletic programs you authorize us to contact on your behalf.
  • Service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, analytics, payments) under contracts that limit their use of your data.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.
  • Acquirers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

5. Data retention

We retain account and profile data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. You may request deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@collegeathleteadvantage.site. We respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfect; please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
